The Electrical Team is one of the key teams that make the robot run. The job of the electrical Team is to wire and control the robot. The Mechanical and the other teams can create an amazing robot, but if even the slightest mistake is made on the robot, the whole robot won’t work; therefore, the team has to be precise and diligent. We mount the Electrical components on the robot, and try to arrange them neatly. The various components we create range from the brain of the robot to simple switches. If you have any interest in the field of Electrical engineering, this is a great place to start. Tips for Rookies: You do not need to have too much knowledge of Electrical engineering beforehand, but knowing how to properly crimp, strip, and solder wires means that you will be ahead. It may also save you time and material during the actual build season. An excellent idea is to spend time looking at previous electronic boards to see how other Teams laid things out. Most importantly, keep everything neat, which includes wires, parts, and tools. This way it will be easier to find a problem if one occurs and overall it is extremely useful to have a neat board. Good communication is also very important and reduces confusion and problems. Leader: William K. William Kalfus
